TXOGA’s Member Companies Supporting Veterans in the Community

May 30, 2017

TXOGA member companies, Apache, EOG Resources, SM Energy, Oxy, and Conoco Phillips are working together with others to make a difference for our veterans by supporting Freedom Service Dogs and the Faces of Freedom event.

Freedom Service Dogs of America is an organization that takes rescued dogs and transforms them into custom–trained, fully accredited service dogs for veterans with physical, emotional, and psychological disabilities. The service dogs are matched and placed with clients at no charge for a lifetime of support. It costs approximately $30,000 to train each dog with over 50 custom commands.

Last week in Midland, Cargo, Freedom Service Dogs of America’s “AmbassaDOG,” was on hand to tour E&P companies including Apache, EOG Resources, SM Energy, OXY, H&J Petroleum and to attend Conoco Phillips’ Bad Boy Blast Sporting Clays tournament.  Each of these companies are major supporters of the Faces of Freedom event. The visits were to introduce Freedom Service Dogs and to promote the upcoming Faces of Freedom Sporting Clays Tournament in Midland at the Windwalker Farms on September 22, 2017.

We are proud to be a part of an organization with such amazing member companies that care about our communities and heroes. If you or your company is interested in participating in and supporting Faces of Freedom, please contact Steve Loving at [email protected].
